2021 Aprilia RSV4, Tuono V4: design

The Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 received a big styling change this year, inspired by the new Aprilia RS 660 - the RSV4 shares the same, aggressive face with sleek LED headlights. The aerodynamic winglets, meanwhile, have been integrated into the fairing. Additionally, the fully-faired RSV4 features revised ergonomics, owing to the new fuel tank and seat, which Aprilia says is more “natural and relaxed”.

That said, the Tuono V4, being a street naked will be relatively more relaxed than the RSV4 due to its higher, single-piece handlebar and a flatter and wider seat for both the rider and pillion. Design-wise, the face looks similar to the RSV4, save for a half-fairing, a larger windscreen and a reprofiled tail section.

2021 Aprilia RSV4: engine

Aprilia has updated the V4 engine to meet Euro 5/BS6 norms and has also increased its size from 1,077cc to 1,099cc. The larger unit puts out 217hp and 125Nm of torque.

The Tuono V4 is powered by a 1,077 cc V4 engine that makes 175hp and 121Nm, which is the same as before.

Both motorcycles feature a new TFT display that is larger than before. Aprilia has also used a new ECU and axis IMU platform that is said to improve performance. There are a few changes to the ride-by-wire throttle and the APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) system. The bikes also feature multi-level engine brake control and six riding modes - three for the track (including two customisable ones) and three for the road (including one customisable option).
